WizFit and EGYM Genius both use artificial intelligence to generate training plans that only use the equipment available at the gym. The big difference is hardware: EGYM Genius runs on the EGYM ecosystem, with smart strength machines and an assessment station, while WizFit is software only and works with the equipment the gym already has.

Summary

  • Choose EGYM Genius if your gym has, or plans to buy, EGYM machines and you want strength assessments and automatic tracking from the machines.
  • Choose WizFit if you want AI plans without depending on connected machines, with equipment from any brand, and with nutrition on the same platform.
  • In both cases the coach can adjust the plan and the member can generate it from the app.

The core difference: hardware or software only

EGYM's model ties together the machines, the assessments and the app: Smart Strength machines measure strength, log every set and feed the plan. EGYM says its AI was trained on more than 11 billion workout data points. For a gym that has already invested in that ecosystem, Genius makes use of that data.

WizFit doesn't require buying machines. The gym enters the equipment it has at each location and plans are built with it, whatever the brand. For gyms with mixed equipment, or that don't want to tie programming to a machine supplier, that's the main difference.

When each one makes sense

  • EGYM Genius: gyms with EGYM machines, or planning to buy them, that value strength assessments and automatic tracking.
  • WizFit: gyms and chains with equipment from different brands, locations with different equipment, or that want to add nutrition to the plan without investing in hardware.
